Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Your personal account is free. A club needs a plan; every plan can be tried for 30 days, no card required.

Can I see the app without an account?

Yes, through the demo: fictional data, nothing is saved.

What happens when the trial ends?

The club becomes read-only for 30 days: your data stays safe, but it can’t be edited. After that, the club is archived. You can restore access at any time with a paid subscription.

Who owns the club’s data?

The club. If the organiser steps back, another member can take over the club.

Which devices does it run on?

Any modern browser, on your phone and your computer. It installs like an app, straight from the browser.

Can I be in several clubs?

Yes, with the same account, as an organiser or a player.

Can I import plays from another app?

Yes: from BG Stats, ScorePal or CSV, and your collection from BoardGameGeek.

How do payments work?

Through Stripe. Your card details never reach TurnOrder.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes, from your account settings. Account deletion takes effect after 30 days, and you can cancel it until then.

Which languages is it available in?

English and Romanian.

Will other members see my phone number?

No. TurnOrder never asks for your phone number. Other members only see your profile.

Who can see my email?

Nobody, by default: your email is hidden. You can choose to show it from your profile.

Do I appear in player search?

Only if you choose to, from your profile. By default, you don’t.

What can I do if someone bothers me?

Report them or block them. Reports about a person go to the platform, not to the club’s admins. Blocking stops private messages and friend requests, and hides your profile details from each other.

What are Club Points?

They turn box scores into points based on finishing position, so different games count fairly on one club leaderboard. The real scores stay saved.

Can we use raw scores instead of Club Points?

Yes. Each club chooses.

What is ELO mode, and is it required?

It’s an optional competitive rating. It’s off by default and only the club admin can turn it on (Pro plan or higher).

How does the waitlist work?

When an event’s seats are full, new sign-ups join the waitlist in order. When a seat frees up, the first person gets it automatically and is notified.

Will I get notifications?

Yes, for events, messages and announcements, once you allow them. On iPhone, notifications only work from the app installed on your Home Screen.

Does it work offline?

Screens you’ve already opened load from the app’s storage without a connection. New data syncs when you’re back online.

Who can create a club?

Anyone with an account, by starting the trial on a plan.

What do the club roles mean?

The principal admin owns the club and its billing. A secondary admin manages members, settings and the club’s data. A moderator logs plays, edits scores and runs events. Members take part. Give roles only to people you trust: they can change the club’s data.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes. Changing or cancelling your plan is done through the Stripe customer portal, opened from the app.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

Can we run tournaments?

Yes, on the Elite plan: round robin, elimination or Swiss, with a public page for participants.
